HARARE – The Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe (MCAZ) has appointed Richard Rukwata as substantive director general.
The appointment is effective from January, board chairperson Dr Misheck Chiware said in a statement yesterday.
A registered pharmacist, Rukwata boasts of 25 years’ experience in healthcare management, regulation of medicines and medical devices, strategic planning and execution as well as good manufacturing practices.
Before the appointment, Rukwata was head of the Licensing and Enforcement division and Acting Director General.
