Zesa Inceases Taffifs To Fundraise For Luxury Cars

By Staff Reporter

HARARE – Zesa said it wanted the government to allow the power utility to hike electricity tariffs so that it raises enough money to buy cars.

Zesa has applied for a new tariff hike in what it said was a bid to boost its operations.

This was said by Zera board chair Dr David Madzikanda in Harare today during a Zesa organised breakfast meeting with journalists.

Madzikanda said Zesa did not have vehicles and required personnel as it cannot afford to pay decent salaries to competent staff due to a low tariff.
