Broad Alliance Against Sanctions Condems Moss Remarks

HARARE – Broad Alliance Against Sanctions BAAS has condemned remarks by former deputy Assistant Secretary for African Affairs Todd Moss which they say are an insult to the people of Zimbabwe.
BAAS made the statement in their congratulatory message to US President Joe Biden following his swearing in ceremony.

Signed by the co-founders Calvern Chitsungo and Sally Ngoni notes that
“We, the Broad Alliance Against Sanctions (the voice of the targetted) do hereby issue the following statement in response to an irresponsible statement by former deputy Assistant Secretary for African Affairs Mr Todd Moss. His statement is an insult to ordinary citizens of Zimbabweans who have suffered from the illegal and henious sanctions imposed on our motherland for the past two decades,” they said.

“As BAAS, we would like to encourage the new Biden Administration to reconsider American position and its foreign policy on Zimbabwe and to consider the plight of the ordinary citizens who have suffered target by extension since 2002.”
The co-founders pledged to continue the fight against sanctions until they are removed.
