Zimbabweans Should Choose Between Life and Death ‘- Acting President Mohadi.

HARARE – Acting President Kembo Mohadi says Zimbabweans must choose between life and death, as the nation grapples with the global coronavirus pandemic.
VP Mohadi said this at a press conference he held at his Munhumutapa Offices in Harare today.
“Yesterday the Ministry of Health and Child Care issued a statement spelling out a raft of measures strengthening the nation’s vigilance in the face of the covid-19 pandemic, which we must religiously adhere to.
“I therefore appeal to you fellow Zimbabweans, that while scientists are working towards a vaccine, it is imperative that you and I remain vigilant,” he said.
The Acting President called upon businesses to be more vigilant in reducing crowds at all points in line with social distancing protocols.to
He expressed concern over some laxity by citizens who do not take the covid-19 regulations seriously.
“Regrettably, it is worrisome that some our people do not take the wearing of masks seriously. We therefore urge all leaders to take an active role in enforcing the wearing of masks.”
The Acting President said security agencies, health officials and security institutions will continue to enforce the standards and adherence to the regulations within the stipulated times, adding “our behavioural change that will take us out of this danger.”
He added: “The presentation of unauthentic covid-19 certificates by some of our citizens has exposed our people to the disease… far removed from ubuntu.”
He also urged citizens to stay at home, unless there is really a need to go out.
“Make every decision to leave your house a matter of life and death,” he said.
The Ministry of Health and child Care on Saturday evening announced strict lockdown measures in response to rising positive cases and deaths as a result of the covid-19 pandemic.
