REPUBLIC APOSTOLIC FAITH CHURCH CELEBRATES 16 DAYS AGAINST GENDER BASED VIOLENCE.

The Republic Apostolic Faith Church has celebrated 16 days against Gender based violence through a business conference aimed at empowering women alongside their counterparts in the church.
 
The business conference held at Herentals College in Chitungwiza over the weekend, witnessed the training of women and men in business skills.
Zimbabwe joined the rest of the world in commemorating 16 Days against Gender based violence as the world struggles to manage the cases and cost that the vice has caused.
Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Vice Bishop Conwell Mushangwe disclosed that the church has embarked on various projects among them mining and agriculture in order to empower all its members.
Dr Kudzanai Vere of Transformational Mindset Institute highlighted that his organization is working tirelessly with the church to change the mindset of members to owning their own businesses.

Also speaking alongside the training Overseer Ruth Munozohamba said the women’s fellowship programme held within the church teaches women and men how to honour and respect each other so that domestic violence does not occur within marriages.
 
She added that the church has ensured that the youths are taught the importance of waiting until they are independent in every aspect before rushing into marriages.
 
Financial Administrator Alice Ropafadzo Chitate also known as Mai Jere noted that teaching women to be self sufficient is also ensuring that women help build their marriages.
