The Country marks second anniversary of the National Clean-up Programme.

The 4th of December 2020 marks the second anniversary of the National Clean-up Programme whereby the Minister of Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality Industry Hon Mangaliso Ndhlovu led from the front in cleaning around Fife Avenue shops in Harare.
Since the Presidential declaration of this important day by His Excellency, Cde E.D Mnangagwa in December 2018 the Ministry has been calling upon all citizens of the country, to be part of the clean-up programme to ensure that the country will achieve a clean, safe and healthy environment for everyone.
This National Clean-up day comes at the back drop of the onset of the rainy season, and most areas in the country have received the first effective rains. On that note, increased moisture becomes fertile ground for the breeding of several disease causing vectors especially in a dirty environment, hence a clarion call for everyone to ensure their surroundings are clean.
The Minister applauded all the stakeholders that have taken ownership of the National Clean-up programme, thus the stakeholder driven Clean-up activities everyone is enjoying and that’s the way to go as a country to achieve an upper middle class economy by 2030.
